Originating from Lannepax in the Gers department of Gascony, France, Delord Bas Armagnac hails from the Bas Armagnac region, renowned for producing light and fragrant eaux-de-vie. The sandy and silty soils of this area contribute to the spirit's delicate and highly praised characteristics.

This Armagnac is crafted from a blend of traditional grape varieties, including Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Baco. The resulting spirit is known for its rich and complex profile, embodying the classic style of Bas Armagnac.

Distilled in 1974 using traditional continuous distillation methods with column stills equipped with "spider plates," ideal for producing old Armagnacs, the spirit was then aged in French oak barrels. The maturation process began in new, heavily toasted barrels and was followed by a finishing period in "semi-exhausted" or "exhausted" casks, allowing the Armagnac to develop its distinctive flavours and aromas over decades.

On the nose, this Armagnac presents elegant aromas of exotic fruits, citrus, spices, with subtle hints of liquorice and menthol. The palate is fine, elegant, and supple, revealing notes of prune, fig, raisin, and caramelised orange, leading to a good length on the finish.

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully appreciate its complex aromas and flavours. Pouring it into a tulip-shaped glass will concentrate the bouquet, enhancing the tasting experience. This vintage Armagnac serves as an excellent digestif and pairs well with a fine cigar or a selection of dark chocolates.
