Balnaves Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
The 2019 Balnaves Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra is a rich and structured red wine showcasing the region's renowned Terra Rossa soils. Made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 52% of which were new. This meticulous winemaking process delivers a wine of balance, depth, and finesse.
Dark red in color, the wine opens with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and hints of vanilla oak, complemented by subtle graphite. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, offering flavours of dark fruits and spice with lingering, soft tannins that create a smooth, elegant finish.
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, roasted lamb, or mature cheeses like aged cheddar.
