Dom Perignon is produced in the Champagne region of northern France, an area globally renowned for its limestone-rich soils and cool climate—ideal conditions for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. As a prestige cuvée from Moët & Chandon, Dom Perignon is only produced in declared vintages and reflects the unique character of each harvest, representing the pinnacle of traditional Champagne craftsmanship.

This vintage is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The style is distinctly Dom Perignon—refined, structured, and layered—highlighting a harmonious balance between vibrant acidity and rich, textural depth. This vintage is particularly noted for its late harvest character and poised maturity.

Following a delayed budburst and a hot, dry summer, the grapes were harvested starting on September 28 under optimal conditions. The winemaking process includes gentle pressing, fermentation in stainless steel vats, and extended lees ageing. As with all Dom Perignon vintages, the wine undergoes at least eight years of maturation before release, allowing it to achieve its signature complexity, finesse, and creamy mousse.

The 2013 vintage opens with a finely woven aromatic profile, marked by layers of citrus, mint, eucalyptus, and green vetiver. Notes of Mirabelle plum, apricot, and orange blossom evolve on the nose, alongside hints of pepper, cardamom, and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is elegantly structured with a silky texture, unfolding gradually to reveal depth and intensity. A vibrant salinity underpins the long, resonant finish, leaving an impression of crystalline clarity and refined power.

Ideal pairings include citrus-accented seafood dishes, scallops with sorrel, or crab with rhubarb. For a more daring approach, pair it with firm-textured meats such as veal or langoustine, especially when prepared with iodised or acidic elements.
