Located in the Southern Rhone, the Beaumes de Venise appellation is famous for its unique terroir and its production of the renowned Muscat wines. The vineyards, nestled between the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range, benefit from a warm Mediterranean climate, producing wines with great aromatic complexity.
This wine is made from Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains, a variety prized for its aromatic intensity and delicate balance. The Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is a sweet, fortified wine, offering an elegant expression of the grape with a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness.
After harvesting, the Muscat grapes are gently pressed and undergo fermentation, which is halted by the addition of grape spirit to preserve the wine's natural sweetness. Aged in tanks, the wine retains its fresh, fruity character and aromatic purity.
On the nose, this Muscat offers a vibrant bouquet of ripe peaches, apricots, and a touch of lychee. The palate is elegant and smooth, with an intense fruity profile complemented by floral notes. The wine's sweetness is perfectly balanced with a fresh acidity, making it wonderfully refreshing yet complex.
Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with rich dishes, or with blue cheeses like Roquefort. It also shines alongside fruity desserts, such as tarts or dark chocolate-based desserts, and works wonderfully with fresh fruit like strawberries and melon. Serve chilled between 8°C and 10°C for the best experience
