El Chocolatero Vino Orgánico 2021 is produced in the Cariñena Denomination of Origin (DO), located in the Aragón region of northeastern Spain. Recognised as one of Spain's oldest wine-growing areas, Cariñena is characterised by its unique, rocky terrain at approximately 600 metres above sea level, often referred to as "El vino de las piedras" or "the wine from the stones". The continental climate, influenced by the cool, dry Cierzo wind from the northwest, contributes to the cultivation of grapes with balanced acidity and freshness.
This organic red wine is a blend of Garnacha (Grenache), Syrah, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The combination of these varietals results in a fresh and fruity red with layers of beautiful aromas.
On the nose, expect aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and blackcurrant, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and chocolate. The palate is soft and smooth, with gentle tannins and a lingering finish.
This red wine pairs well with grilled meat and cheese.
