The 2019 Museum Reserva is made entirely from Tempranillo, Spain's most celebrated grape variety. Known locally as Tinta del Pais in Cigales, Tempranillo expresses a unique combination of power and elegance in this region. The wine is a bold and complex example of a Reserva, offering a harmonious blend of ripe fruit, spice, and refined tannins.
The grapes are carefully hand-picked and sorted before being de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel vats. Gentle pumping over during the 21-day maceration ensure maximum flavour and colour extraction. The wine is then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels under ideal temperature and humidity conditions, followed by 12 months of bottle aging to further enhance its complexity.
Finca Museum Reserva 2019 has a deep cherry-red colour with purple hues at the rim. On the nose, it offers aromas of red berries, blackcurrants, and cranberries, complemented by notes of salty liquorice, ginger, and a subtle spicy undertone. Swirling the glass reveals hints of minerals, roasting, and exotic wood. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, with vibrant acidity and a velvety texture. The long-lasting finish carries notes of roast hazelnut, minerals, and elegant wood nuances.
This wine pairs beautifully with game dishes, such as venison or wild boar, as well as red meats and beef. It is an excellent choice for roasted lamb or hearty stews. Serve at 16–18°C.
