Gaja Ca' Marcanda Promis 2021 originates from the renowned Bolgheri region in Tuscany, Italy. This area is acclaimed for producing "Super Tuscan" wines, which blend international grape varieties with traditional Italian ones, benefiting from the region's unique climate and soil composition.

This wine is a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah, and 10% Sangiovese. The Merlot imparts softness and rich fruit flavours, Syrah adds spice and depth, and Sangiovese contributes acidity and a touch of traditional Italian character.

Each grape variety undergoes separate fermentation and maceration for approximately 15 days. The wines are then aged in oak barrels for 12 months, followed by several months of bottle ageing before release.

Promis 2021 displays a bright ruby-red colour. The nose reveals hints of spice, such as cinnamon and star anise, alongside pronounced red fruits like strawberry and black cherry. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with juicy, persistent tannins.

This wine pairs well with roasted meats, hearty stews, and mature cheeses. It also complements pasta dishes with rich tomato-based sauces.
