Lionel Osmin & Cie Miramar Rose 2022
Nestled along France's Basque coast, the Château Laurou estate, where this wine is produced, benefits from oceanic influences and Mediterranean touches, creating an ideal environment for cultivating the Négrette grape. The estate's alluvial soils, rich in hydric reserves, support the vines through the summer heat, ensuring optimal grape ripeness.
Crafted entirely from Négrette, a grape variety celebrated for its low acidity and smooth character, this rosé embodies the gentle and carefree spirit of the Basque region. The 2022 vintage offers a harmonious blend of freshness and elegance.
The grapes undergo mechanical harvesting in early September, followed by immediate pressing to minimise maceration and preserve a light colour. Cold fermentation techniques are employed to maintain the aromatic integrity, with early bottling in spring to capture its youthful vibrancy.
The 2022 vintage presents a pale pink hue, with aromas of ripe red fruits and subtle floral notes. The palate is full-bodied and expressive, balanced by a pleasant acidity that imparts freshness. Flavours mirror the nose, with additional creamy nuances enhancing its smooth texture. The finish is long and complex.
This rosé pairs excellently with aperitifs, salads, tomato and mozzarella dishes, grilled fish, Italian and Asian cuisines, and desserts featuring red fruits. Serving temperature 8°C.
