Maison Lorgeril O De Rose Cuvee Prestige 2023
The Ô De Rosé is crafted in the Languedoc region, located between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. This area is known for its diverse terroirs and climates, which contribute to the unique characteristics of the wine. The vineyards' positioning allows for optimal growing conditions, with slow maturation of the grapes leading to a well-balanced and crisp rosé.
The wine is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 10% Vermentino. These varieties combine to produce a rosé that is both fresh and structured, with an ample body and a balanced finish.
The grapes are harvested at daybreak to ensure freshness, followed by gentle pressing to preserve the natural colour. The juice is settled at low temperatures before fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures between 16-18°C. This method ensures the preservation of the fresh, fruity character of the wine while maintaining its delicate balance.
Maison Lorgeril Ô De Rosé displays a lovely peach colour with intense red fruit aromas. On the palate, it is crisp and ample, offering a balanced mouthfeel with a persistent finish.
Ideal with light dishes such as seafood, pasta, fresh salads, or as an aperitif. It is also a great match for Mediterranean-style cuisine and grilled vegetables.
