Ruinart Blanc De Blancs Champagne
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is crafted in the Champagne region of France, specifically using Chardonnay grapes from prestigious areas like the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Sézannais, and Vallée de la Vesle. Ruinart, established in 1729, is the oldest Champagne house, known for its innovative and luxurious style. The terroirs chosen for this cuvée contribute to its mineral complexity and elegance, reflecting the diversity of Champagne's microclimates and soils.
This champagne is made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay, blending 25–30 crus, including 20–30% reserve wines from previous vintages. It embodies the Blanc de Blancs style, known for finesse, vibrancy, and floral aromatic expression. The final wine balances freshness and richness.
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation enhances the wine's creamy texture, and it is aged for 2–3 years on lees in the Ruinart cellars.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne presents a pale yellow colour with bright jade green reflections. On the nose, it reveals an intense bouquet of ripe lemon, pear, and peach, intertwined with floral notes of white blossoms and a hint of spiciness from ginger and pink peppercorns. The palate is vibrant and refined, with a harmonious balance between crisp citrus freshness and the richness of tropical fruit. A creamy texture and a distinct mineral edge contribute to its complexity, leading to a long, lingering finish.
This champagne pairs excellently with seafood, particularly dishes like citrus-marinated sea bass, grilled shrimp, or shellfish. It also complements light, creamy dishes such as quiche or mild cheeses. Serve chilled at 8°C.
