Chateau De Saint Lager Brouilly 2023
The Chateau de Saint Lager Brouilly 2023 is a wine from the Brouilly AOP region in Beaujolais, crafted from vines that are about 50 years old. The vineyards, located at the foot of Mont Brouilly, benefit from sandy-loam soils that give the wine its intense fruitiness and supple, elegant mouthfeel. The Gamay grapes are manually harvested to ensure the highest quality.
The wine is fermented using a whole-bunch maceration for 7 to 9 days, followed by mechanical pressing and aging in wooden tuns and vats, allowing for a wine that is aromatic and youthful.
With aromas of dark fruits like blackberries and raspberries, this wine offers a fresh, supple palate with well-integrated tannins and a medium body. Its fruit-forward style makes it perfect for pairing with grilled meats and Mediterranean dishes.
