This Pinot Noir comes from Casablanca Valley, a region in Chile renowned for its cool climate, which is heavily influenced by the Pacific Ocean. The valley's proximity to the coast provides a maritime climate that is ideal for producing high-quality, aromatic wines, especially Pinot Noir. The valley's soils are low in fertility, naturally controlling vine vigour and ensuring slow, steady ripening of the grapes, which results in wines with vibrant flavours and great complexity.
The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir. Known for its delicate and nuanced character, Pinot Noir thrives in Casablanca Valley's conditions, producing a wine that is elegant, fruity, and well-structured.
The grapes undergo fermentation in French oak barrels, where they are aged for 10 months. This aging process imparts soft spicy and toasted notes to the wine, enhancing its complexity while maintaining the bright fruit character typical of the variety.
The 2020 Eloisa Pinot Noir presents a bright, luminous ruby red colour. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of black and red fruits such as raspberry and strawberries, complemented by rose petals. The palate is fresh, round, and well-structured, with rich flavours of raspberry, strawberry, and delicate floral hints. The wine finishes with a smooth and persistent elegance.
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, including grilled salmon, tuna, stuffed mushrooms, duck breast, and pâté. It also works well with vegetarian dishes, and charcuterie boards featuring cured meats and soft cheeses like brie, camembert, and goat cheese. Serving temperature 14°C.
