Voski 2022 is produced in Vayots Dzor, Armenia, a region renowned for its ancient winemaking traditions and exceptional terroir. Located at 1,400 metres above sea level, this high-altitude region is known for its phylloxera-free soils, allowing vines to grow on their own roots. The terroir combines sandy, limestone-rich soils and large stones, with a sub-alkaline composition that enhances minerality. The extreme diurnal temperature variation—hot days and cool nights—promotes balanced ripening, contributing to the wine's fresh acidity and complexity.

Voski is crafted from two ancient, indigenous Armenian grape varieties: Voskéat ("golden seed") and Garandmak. These varieties have been cultivated for millennia and are prized for their ability to produce vibrant, balanced wines. The wine is a dry white with stone fruit-driven flavours, floral aromatics, and a layered complexity.

Fermentation is carried out in large temperature-controlled concrete vats with no epoxy lining, preserving the purity of the grapes. Only natural yeasts are used, reflecting Zorah's commitment to minimal intervention winemaking. The wine is aged for 11 months in rough concrete vats, followed by an additional six months in bottle, allowing for further integration and refinement.

Voski 2022 offers a floral and spicy bouquet, with aromas of stone fruits like apricot and peach. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, showcasing lively acidity and a layered complexity. The wine has remarkable depth, finishing with a distinct minerality that reflects its high-altitude terroir.

This wine pairs beautifully with grilled fish, herbed chicken, and creamy pastas. It also complements fresh salads, shellfish, and lightly spiced vegetarian dishes.
